Community Healthy Living Fairs

The purpose of the Community Healthy Living Fairs is to bring health and wellness promotion to life in 18 communities in the NWT. The GNWT provides support and information, but the Fairs are driven by local community champions. The Fairs are events for the whole community, where members learn and share ideas on health and wellness, along with promotion of fitness, nutrition, and traditional living.

The Fairs are an effective way to draw people together to help meet their need and desire for information on healthy living from local providers and professionals. It gives people the chance to ask frank questions in an informal setting.
