Memo - PDAC 2020 Convention

We have recently learned that an attendee at PDAC 2020 conference, which took place in Toronto, has tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19). 

If you were an attendee at this conference the Chief Public Health Officer is advising that you self-monitor for 14 days after the end of the conference.

If you develop fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or other flu-like symptoms during this time period, contact the following:

  • Yellowknife: 867-767-9120, or book online at www.nthssa.ca/appointments
  • Inuvik: 867-490-2225
  • Fort Smith: 867-621-2233 or 867-872-0562
  • Hay River: 867-874-7201 (between 08:30-16.30). After hours call Emergency Department at 867-874-8050.
  • Other Communities can call their local health centres, www.hss.gov.nt.ca/health-centres

While self-monitoring please avoid large crowds and visiting at-risk individuals during the 14 day period, especially those residing in long-term care facilities. At-risk individuals include those over 60 years of age, those with chronic conditions (diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, etc.) and those with weakened immune systems (ie. cancer).
