Talk to our Care Coaches

When you call the NWT Quitline, the person answering the phone will be trained to help people like you quit smoking. Our Care Coaches are friendly health professionals with experience helping people overcome addictions.

What to expect when you call

Every call to the NWT Quitline is private and confidential.

If you want to quit smoking, the people helping you will look at the things in your life that make you want to smoke. Our Care Coaches will work with you to come up with changes to your daily routine to help you quit. They will also help you develop a Quit Plan, which includes selecting a quit day, and give you all the support and resources you will need to kick the habit for good!

It’s a fact that the first few days of quitting are the hardest. But it’s important to have support throughout your quitting journey. If you want our Care Coaches to stay in touch, they will call you up to five times after your first conversation to give you support, to answer whatever questions you have and to keep you focused on your goals.
