YELLOWKNIFE September 21, 2021 – The OCPHO is announcing 27 new cases of COVID-19 in the NWT since September 20. The total number of recent cases has increased to 712. There are 238 active cases among residents in the territory plus three active out-of-territory cases. A total of 469 cases have resolved – 460 NWT residents and nine out-of-territory cases, with two deaths.

The cumulative number of hospitalizations since the start of the pandemic is 27, of which 23 are associated with the current territorial COVID-19 Delta variant outbreak. 78% of the total hospitalized cases were not fully vaccinated. Cumulative ICU admissions have been 11.
