Case Counts as of 12:00 pm
YELLOWKNIFE September 22, 2021 – The Office of the Chief Public Health Officer (OCPHO) is announcing 19 new cases of COVID-19 in the NWT since September 21. The total number of recent cases has increased to 730. There are 233 active cases among residents in the territory plus three active out-of-territory cases. A total of 492 cases have resolved – 483 NWT residents and nine out-of-territory cases, with two deaths.
The OCPHO wants to update that deaths will no longer be singled out in our reporting table. The decision on how to share this information is best made by the families and in some cases the communities they lived in. The total number of deaths will continue to be reported and will be included in the resolved cases.
