OCPHO confirms three deaths from COVID-19

YELLOWKNIFE September 27, 2021 – The Office of the Chief Public Health Officer (OCPHO) is confirming three more deaths due to COVID-19 among NWT residents. The deaths occurred on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 and Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021.

“The OCPHO is saddened by this news. Our office wishes to express our sincere condolences to the families of those who passed away. Our thoughts are with the families and with community members at this time.”

The OCPHO will no longer be reporting deaths or resolved cases by community in its daily updates to protect the privacy of individuals in our communities. The total number of deaths territory-wide will continue to be reported. For more information please see Privacy in a Pandemic.

The NWT CPHO will be making no further comments.
