Le mieux-être communautaire est une priorité commune pour les collectivités des TNO. Il en résulte une population en meilleure santé qui participe davantage à la vie sociale.
Le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (GTNO) s’est engagé à fournir un soutien aux collectivités des TNO afin qu’elles puissent améliorer le mieux-être et la santé de leurs résidents. Le GTNO prépare une nouvelle entente de financement avec Affaires autochtones et du Nord Canada pour offrir des programmes de mieux-être communautaire financés par le gouvernement fédéral. Le financement fédéral permettra aux collectivités d’élaborer et de mettre en œuvre leurs propres plans de mieux-être.
