YELLOWKNIFE MAY 5, 2021 – Residents continue to have many questions about self isolation rules and recommendations.
- The best place to get information about what you need to do if affected by the N.J. Macpherson COVID-19 outbreak is by going to the GNWT COVID-19 website and click on the Public Exposure Notifications box. You will see the list of public exposures and the required actions to take if you are affected.
- If you need more information about isolation, you can also get specific information about N.J. Macpherson School Outbreak and Isolation Guidance information on the GWNT COVID-19 website FAQs. These are being updated daily.
- If you need more information about testing please visit the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority website, go under Programs and Services-Coronavirus Disease Updates, where you will see a link for Testing. Or type www.nthssa.ca/covid-testing into your browser.
If you cannot find the information needed, it is important that you direct your questions to ProtectNWT by calling 811 or email@example.com. ProtectNWT can provide answers to many questions, such as how contact tracing works and isolation advice. However, operators cannot issue medical advice.
- If clinical advice is required, residents should call their primary health care provider or local health centre.
Please do not ask the Office of the Chief Public health officer to answer your questions at this time. This office is very busy working hard to determine the higher-level decisions needed to be made in this evolving situation.
