Pregnant and Breastfeeding Mothers
Consuming cannabis can affect the healthy development of your baby’s brain.
Just because cannabis is a plant doesn’t mean that it’s safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women and their babies.
No matter how it is used (smoked, eaten, etc.) THC, the chemical in cannabis that makes you “high” gets passed to your baby through the umbilical cord or through breast milk. It is best to avoid cannabis while pregnant or breastfeeding.
