The Mental Wellness and Addictions Recovery (MWAR) Advisory Group was established in February 2021. Comprised of a diverse group of nine individuals from across the territory, members provide advice and direction to the Department of Health and Social Services based on their lived/living experiences with mental health or substance use challenges, as well as their experience accessing mental wellness or addictions recovery services and supports.
The Advisory Group meets every 2-3 months or at the request of the group lead to review, consider and provide feedback on existing and planning of new territorial mental wellness and addictions recovery policies, programs, services and engagement efforts.
