Resources for Educators
Good oral health positively impacts a child’s ability to learn,
attend school and eat nutritious foods.
As an educator, you are in a unique position to provide education, guidance, and motivation to help your students establish positive oral health habits. Teachers can be our first line of defense in detecting early dental problems. They can tell when a child is having trouble eating their lunch because of painful teeth.
On this page, you will find a variety of resources, including lesson plans, activities, and educational materials, to help you integrate oral health education into your curriculum, and promote healthy habits among your students. Together, we can work towards a future where all students in the NWT have access to good oral health and healthy smiles to last a lifetime.
