YELLOWKNIFE 20 March 2020 – A male husky cross dog (named Kit) from Cambridge Bay, was held at the Yellowknife SPCA from March 11th to March 14th (Photo below). It developed signs and symptoms of rabies on March 14.
It was euthanized and tested for rabies. The test was positive. It was held in a cage outside the building for a time.
All Mass Gatherings 50 People or Over Should Be Cancelled
Returning International Travelers and International Visitors Need to Self-Isolate
Avoid non-essential travel outside of Canada until further notice
